Promoted to Lieutenant Commander

Today I found out that I was selected for Lieutenant Commander (0-4)!

Abigail started her swim lessons this week and she is having a blast.

If the girls aren't awake when I head to work (which they usually aren't) I leave them a Hershey kiss.

It just lets them know that I am always thinking about them.

Q was on the local news tonight....

Changes

Yesturday we said goodbye to the Enclave and replaced her with a Mercedes Benz E Class Coupe. We felt that we really didn't need to have two SUV's. She provided us with many fond memories and moments.

Q said he wanted to drive the civic because he doesn't go that far from the house and the civic is great for city driving. The Benz gets almost the same mpgs as the civic so it worked out well.

This is the video I saw that made me want this car. I showed it to Q and he told me don't go getting any ideas of trying that in real life.

I would never do anything like that but it is still a cool video.

The girls are great with technology.

They got the HP Touchsmart computer last Christmas and they love it. The computer is very similar to an Ipad. You use your finger to open things and move them around on the screen. They enjoy playing games on their favorite websites and taking silly pictures of each other.



Adrianna will just walk over to the computer turn it on and start playing her computer games.

Abigail had a chance to be the goalie for a while and she did fantastic. She kept the other team from scoring.

Special visitors........

This weekend we had some very special visitors.

Q's Aunt came out from California with his little cousins, who are so little anymore. Aryanna, Iman, and Yolonda. His sister Tosha was able to come over and hang out for a little bit.

We had so much fun seeing them.

We got the new Iphones!!!!!!!!

Last night we were lucky enough to be the first people to get the new Iphone.

Magnolias are blooming in the backyard.

This is one of our favorite times of year when the magnolias are in bloom. We love to go in the yard and smell them.

Abigail's test for yellow belt black stripe

We are very proud of our Abby. Today she took and passed her test for yellow belt black stripe. The final requirement in passing the test was to break a solid piece of wood. She broke the board on her first attempt. Congratulations Abby.

13 years and counting

Today we celebrated our 13th year of being married. Time has gone by so fast. I remember when we first got married eleven days after we graduated high school. It has been so much fun and we look forward to many more years together.

Change of Command

Today we went to the ship to be apart of the Change of Command ceremony onboard Janice's ship. Change of Command is basically when one captain leaves the ship and is replaced by another.

The girls haven't been able to visit Janice onboard since January because the ship in the shipyard. They always enjoy visiting the ship and getting salutes from the crew.

Abigail is growing so fast.

Our first camping trip.....

Yesterday we went camping with the girls (outside of the backyard) for the first time. We went with a bunch of friends and had a great time. We rented a popup camper and it is a lot easier than pitching a tent. We played kickball, went fishing, and had a big bonfire.

We took Abigail to Bush Gardens for her birthday and we all had a great time. Happy birthday Abigail.
