We are headed home.....

Last Day at Disney World.......

We fly home tomorrow, so today was our last full day at Disney World and the timing couldn't be better. Today the park was really crowded with all the people trying to get a head start on the Memorial Day weekend, so we were glad that we came when we did. We all got to ride all the rides we wanted to at each of the parks at least once (Abigail rode Splash Mountain 5 times, Buzz Lightyear 6 times, Thunder Mountain 4 times, and Roaring Rapids 4 times.) We had a great time!!! But now we need a vacation from our vacation- good thing we have a long weekend at home!

Day four with the Princesses

Our fourth day at Disney was as Epcot. Abby had her Princess lunch and got to meet all the major princesses. She saw Belle, Cinderella, Aurora, Ariel, and Jasmine. She even wore her Cinderella dress for the occasion! Adrianna and Daddy hung out in a nice and cool baby center to wait for us. We have a tie for our favorite ride at this park between Soarin, which is a ride that makes you feel like you are flying over California and they pump smells like oranges and evergreen trees to match the pictures, and Test Track where you ride in a car like a crash test dummy. It was a little warmer so we had to take a couple of ice cream stops!!

Day 3 at Disney World

We are a little behind on our blogging. These pictures are from our third day that we spent at Animal Kingdom. The Lion King show was awesome and Abby got to meet a lot of the characters. Her favorite ride was Roaring Rapids which she rode four times. You get soaked on that ride, so after our second time we broke out the ponchos! After our late night the day before we decided we would stay at the hotel that night and have some fun in the Mickey shaped pool. While we were swimming a mother duck and her six ducklings came by and took a dip too!!

Day 2 at Disney World

We made it to Disney World!

We made it to Disney World and have been having a great time so far! We are staying at Shades of Green, which is a military resort that is right across from the Polynesian. It is such a pretty hotel and it is really convenient. Yesterday we spent the day at Magic Kingdom and Abigail's favorite ride was the Buzz Lightyear Spin. Because our hotel is considered a Disney resort we get to take advantage of Extra Magic hours, which means we can get into the parks an hour early and stay a few hours after closing. We have been going early in the morning, but with the little ones we aren't sure how late we will be out. This morning we went to Hollywood Studios and Abigail got to see the High School Musical show. It was like a block party, so she really enjoyed that. Her favorite ride there was the Star Wars ride. We have been fortunate because it isn't crowded at all and the most we have had to wait for rides is about 10 minutes. We have a couple of clip-on fans for the stroller and our mister fan has helped with the heat. Yesterday was pretty warm because we couldn't check in to our hotel until after 3, so we were out in the heat of the day. Today we are back in our room to let the girls (and Daddy) take a nap and I worked on my final for a little bit. This afternoon we are going to head over to Animal Kingdom!

Packing, packing, and more packing

We are almost done packing for our trip tomorrow. The day has really gotten away from us because we have been pretty busy. Abigail is in bed, but still awake and it is 9:00. I know she is just so excited. I was supposed to finish my final exam before we leave tomorrow but that isn't going to happen. It is due Wednesday, so I know how I will be spending my late nights for the next few days. Our flight leaves at 6:10 in the morning, so needless to say we will be up really early. We are going to try to update the blog from our hotel in Florida so check back later for an update! I'd better go help Quintin finish up so we can get to bed.

Chemistry Fun

One of our friends is a Chemistry professor at the Naval Academy and invited Abigail to her lab for some fun today. They mixed chemicals and had a great time.

Playground

Adrianna and Abigail were in the swings at the playground yesterday enjoying the weather.

Adrianna also went to the doctor yesterday for her 4 month check-up. She is doing really well and is now 14.7 lbs and 23.6 inches long!!

Happy Mother's Day Breakfast.......

Today I was treated to breakfast in bed by Quintin and the girls. Abigail and Adrianna gave me the cutest (and the biggest) Mother's day card. I also received a new Coach purse that will be perfect for our Disney trip.

Tea anyone?

Today Abigail had a Mommy Tea Party at her school. It was so cute because all the children sang songs that were all about mommies. It was so much fun....





Abigail drew a picture of me. She told the teachers things about me that she read to the class on my visit.

Last Day at Great Wolf.......

Today was our last day at Great Wolf and we were sad to leave. We had a great time and it is just the beginning of our summer adventures.

Great Wolf Lodge Trip!

Today we are staying at the coolest indoor water park ever! It is called Great Wolf Lodge and it is in Williamsburg, VA. It took us about three hours to get here but it is we worth the trip!!

The room that we are staying in is called the family suite and usually sleeps 6, so we have plenty of room. It even has a fireplace and a private balcony. Everyone has had a great time so far, especially Abigail. She really likes the innertube slides and even went down the bigger slides, without an innertube, all by herself. In the morning we are going to have some breakfast and play in the water some more before we head home tomorrow afternoon.

Drool, drool

Adrianna is four months old now and has recently been very interested in her mouth. She loves to smack her lips, almost like she is blowing kisses to you. Another favorite is to collect a lot of drool in her mouth and then push it all out....as captured in the picture on the right.
