Back to work....

Yesterday was my first day back at work. Everything was fine when I left the house and took Abigail to school. When I dropped her off, one of her old teachers saw me and asked how I was doing and asked about Adrianna. That was when I got upset. It was strange because I thought I was okay- I mean she was at home with her Daddy and I work practically right across the street. It is still hard though, but she had a great day. Quintin told me she only cried for about 5 minutes the whole day and she took her bottles really well. It was funny because when I came home for lunch she was really quiet until she saw me and then she started crying because she wanted to nurse. It is amazing how quickly they learn. Abigail was also really glad that I could take her to school again. I wasn't doing it when I was at home because it was easier for Quintin to take her on his way to work, but she prefers me. It was also hard yesterday because I had class last night, which made my day a little longer. At least I am almost done with school so I will have all of my evenings back to spend with my family!!

First day of pre-school!!

Today was Abigail's first day at her new pre-school. She was really excited this morning. When we were walking up the sidewalk she was telling me, "Let's walk faster Mommy. I don't want to be late!" It was so cute because we were early, but she was just so excited she couldn't wait to get inside. When we walked in she hung up her backpack and her jacket and found some kids to play with until class started. Right before Quintin and I left, I peeked in and saw that she had grabbed a book and sat down on the rug to read. When Quintin picked her up she said she had a great time and can't wait to go back! Yeah!

Instead of going to class....

Yesterday we finally got some snow. It was forecasted to be 1-2 inches, but when it was all said and done it was closer to 3-4. I usually have class on Wednesday nights, but due to the weather it was canceled. What a better way to spend a freebie evening than out sledding and playing in the snow!! Quintin went out with Abby before dinner, and then I took her out again after we ate. It was a little too chilly for Adrianna, so she hung out inside. We are supposed to get some more snow tonight, so we might get to play again tomorrow.

Some big changes...

Well, we made a major decision at the end of last week- we decided that Quintin should stay home with Adrianna, like he did with Abigail. We had a spot for her at the CDC, which is the same great place that Abigail is in. We were really fortunate to get that spot because there is a really long wait. I put our name on the list when I was only 3 weeks pregnant and the timing was perfect because they recently expanded and opened up two new infant rooms. Adrianna was going to be in a room that only held 6 infants (under one year old) as opposed to the normal eight. Everything was working in our favor, but as the time approached for me to return to work Quintin and I really weren't sure that was where we wanted her to be. So, we made the best choice for our family and put in our notice last Friday. We also enrolled Abigail in a half-day pre-school two days a week so she can still interact with other children and continue to prepare for school. We went and visited on Friday and she is really excited. I think the thing she likes the most is that she gets to take her lunch. We bought her a lunch bag and she can't wait to use it. I am really excited too because now I can easily come home at lunch. I also think I am going to start riding my bike in to work since I won't have to take the girls to school. It is only about a mile or so to my office, so that would be pretty lame to drive, especially when the weather is nice. Plus the ride will help out in the exercise department!

We found a winner!!

Check out her curls! They are already starting to flip up on the sides of her head.

Here is one of the onesies that the tennis girls made her. It says Navy Women's Tennis on the front and Future Tennis Star on the back.

They love to snuggle. It is hard on Abby now because she started coming down with a cold yesterday and we are trying to limit how close she gets to Adrianna. We still allow snuggle time, but we make sure she has washed her hands right before.

We finally found a bottle that Adrianna will take. She still gets a little upset when you try to give it to her, but not as much as before. Notice her hand!! It was funny because Quintin was giving her milk today and she was kind of mad and then we noticed her hand. He is convinced she was doing it on purpose!!

This is the bottle that is a definite winner.
