This morning I had Saturday morning training and had to take some Midshipmen out on a YP, AKA the "baby ships." I decided to take Abigail with me so she could see what it is like and have a better understanding of what I do, especially since I am getting ready to go back on sea duty soon. She had a great time. The weather wasn't that great- it was raining but we still made the best of it. I took the pictures with my iphone so they aren't the clearest, but they are still cute so we wanted to share.

Such a sweetheart...
Yesterday Abigail and I were talking and had this conversation:
A: Mommy, what happens if I die or something?
M: When people die they go to heaven and see Jesus, but you don't have to worry about that for a really long time.
A: But will I be able to see you and Daddy?
M: Sure. When you go to heaven you get to be with all of your family again.
A: When I go to heaven I will send your Mom back to Earth so you can see her because you haven't seen her in a really long time and I know you miss her.
And to that I couldn't respond right away because of the immediate lump in my throat and tears in my eyes over how sweet a four year old can be.

Day at the D.C. Zoo
We spent the morning at the zoo in D.C. The weather was beautiful and we wanted to get out of the house after all of the rain we had yesterday. The girls had a great time looking at all of the animals. We took a break on a park bench and a little chipmunk came up to us and Abby shared some of her granola bar with him! Abby also did a great impression of the snapping turtle. Adrianna took a nice nap and also had fun going through the misters, even though it wasn't too hot outside they always feel nice when it's warm. On the way home I was able to snap a picture of Adrianna's tooth!
